Our dogs come in and rub their bodies (and skunk essence) all over the rugs and furniture before we have a chance to them back outside. And did I ever tell you about the time we were sprayed through the screen door while sitting on the couch? Living where we do, out in the boonies, the odor of skunk outdoors pretty common. We've gotten so used to it that we even have a small stuffed toy skunk we keep in the house.
